Ramadan........ is it haram to write letters to god?

I would ume not. Is they're really anything wrong with it? Writing letters to God is pretty much your personal way of praying to God. If that's the way you feel most comfortable doing it, then I doubt your God would oppose. Prayer really is conversation with God.
