How can you tell the difference of a Plymouth 318 and 340 engine?

its also stamped on the front of the block in tiny letters the main id number is on the left side of it,that number on the left side it will be true to what the block is though,to find out if the heads are what they should be remove the valve cover and there's an id number on the heads,i own two of those engines right now,good luck.
